Fan Vision Submission Terms

Effective Date: June 2, 2026

These Fan Vision Submission Terms (“Submission Terms”) govern your submission of videos, photos, images, audio, captions, descriptions, comments, names, usernames, social handles, school or team information, event information, likenesses, voices, metadata, and other materials (collectively, “Submissions”) to State Champs! Sports Network, Yellow Flag Productions, LLC, and their affiliates, partners, sponsors, contractors, representatives, and service providers (collectively, “State Champs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Submission Terms apply to Submissions made through Fan Vision, our websites, mobile applications, upload forms, contests, polls, social media channels, email, direct messages, tagging features, or any other State Champs submission method or related service (collectively, the “Services”).

By uploading, sending, tagging, posting, submitting, or otherwise providing a Submission to us, or by clicking a button or checking a box indicating acceptance, you agree to these Submission Terms. If you do not agree, do not submit content to us.

1. Relationship to Other Terms

These Submission Terms supplement and are part of any applicable State Champs terms, policies, rules, and notices, including our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, contest rules, promotion rules, voting rules, and any feature-specific instructions presented when you submit content.

If a signed written agreement between you and State Champs expressly conflicts with these Submission Terms, the signed written agreement will control only for the specific subject matter covered by that agreement. If contest, promotion, or campaign rules conflict with these Submission Terms, the more specific contest, promotion, or campaign rules will control for that feature.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You may submit content only if you are legally able to agree to these Submission Terms and have all rights, permissions, approvals, and authority required for the Submission and for our use of the Submission as described here.

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to submit content through the Services.
  • If you are under 18, you may not submit content through your own account or provide personal information through the Fan Vision submission flow, even with parent or guardian permission.
  • If you are a parent or legal guardian submitting content that includes or relates to a minor, you agree to these Submission Terms on behalf of yourself and are responsible for obtaining all permissions required for that minor’s appearance, name, likeness, and related information.
  • If you are submitting on behalf of a school, team, league, association, club, company, sponsor, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization and that the organization agrees to these Submission Terms.

The Fan Vision submission features are not directed to persons under 18. Persons under 18 may not create submission accounts, upload Submissions, appear as the submitting user, or provide personal information through the Fan Vision submission flow. Parents or guardians who believe a person under 18 has submitted information to us should contact us using the contact information below.

3. Your Responsibilities Before You Submit

Before you submit content, you are responsible for confirming that you have the right to submit it and that our use of it will not violate anyone’s rights or any applicable rules. This includes checking whether you need permission from people who appear in the Submission, a parent or guardian, a school, a team, an athletic association, an event organizer, a venue, a photographer, videographer, broadcaster, music owner, sponsor, or another rights holder.

Do not submit content that was filmed or obtained in a private or restricted area, such as a locker room, restroom, medical treatment area, team-only area, restricted sideline, private home, or other place where people reasonably expect privacy, unless you have all required permissions and the Submission is appropriate for public display.

You are solely responsible for your Submission, including all content, claims, captions, descriptions, tags, names, schools, teams, athlete references, event references, music, logos, and other materials included with it.

4. Rights You Grant to State Champs

By providing a Submission, you grant State Champs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, copy, edit, crop, trim, modify, adapt, translate, transcode, encode, reformat, resize, caption, subtitle, excerpt, synchronize, combine with other content, create derivative works from, publish, distribute, transmit, stream, broadcast, publicly perform, publicly display, display, promote, advertise, archive, index, and otherwise exploit the Submission, in whole or in part, in any media, format, channel, technology, or platform now known or later developed.

This license includes the right to use your Submission in connection with the Services, Fan Vision, State Champs programming, websites, mobile applications, digital video, social media, livestreams, broadcasts, podcasts, newsletters, emails, advertising, sponsor campaigns, paid media, promotional materials, highlight packages, award coverage, polls, voting features, editorial coverage, archival materials, and other commercial or non-commercial State Champs activities.

You also grant State Champs the right to sublicense, authorize, or make the Submission available to affiliates, partners, sponsors, advertisers, distributors, broadcasters, platforms, social networks, app stores, vendors, service providers, and other third parties as reasonably needed to exercise the rights granted in these Submission Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive and agree not to assert any moral rights, rights of attribution, rights of integrity, or similar rights you may have in the Submission in a way that would interfere with State Champs’ use of the Submission under these Submission Terms.

5. Ownership of Submissions and State Champs Productions

As between you and State Champs, you retain any ownership rights you have in your original Submission, subject to the broad license you grant to State Champs in these Submission Terms. We do not claim ownership of your original Submission solely because you submit it to us.

State Champs owns all rights in State Champs-created or State Champs-commissioned materials, edits, graphics, overlays, commentary, titles, thumbnails, captions, compilations, collections, broadcasts, programs, highlight packages, advertisements, promotional materials, databases, page layouts, feeds, playlists, and other works or elements created by or for State Champs that use, include, incorporate, reference, or are inspired by a Submission.

Nothing in these Submission Terms gives you ownership of State Champs trademarks, branding, graphics, show formats, programming, editorial materials, sponsor materials, software, websites, mobile applications, or other State Champs intellectual property.

7. Minors, Student-Athletes, Schools, and Teams

State Champs covers high school sports, and many Submissions may involve minors, student-athletes, coaches, officials, schools, teams, leagues, venues, and events. You are responsible for making sure your Submission is appropriate and that you have all required permissions and releases before submitting it.

If your Submission features a minor in a prominent, identifiable, interview-style, commercial, sensitive, private, or otherwise material way, you must have permission from the minor’s parent or legal guardian unless a legally valid exception applies. A person under 18 may not submit Fan Vision content; any Submission involving a minor must be submitted by a parent, legal guardian, or another adult who is authorized to provide the Submission and required permissions.

You are also responsible for ensuring that the Submission and our use of it do not violate applicable school policies, team rules, event rules, venue rules, athletic association rules, eligibility rules, name-image-likeness rules, media credential rules, broadcasting restrictions, or other obligations that apply to you or the people shown in the Submission.

Do not submit content that exploits, embarrasses, harasses, sexualizes, endangers, bullies, humiliates, or invades the privacy of a minor, student-athlete, coach, official, spectator, or any other person.

8. Music, Logos, Third-Party Content, and Event Rules

Your Submission must not contain third-party content unless you have all rights and permissions needed for State Champs to use that content as described in these Submission Terms. Third-party content may include music, sound recordings, background music, images, photographs, video clips, broadcast footage, livestream footage, artwork, graphics, school logos, team logos, sponsor logos, trademarks, copyrighted works, or content created by someone else.

Do not submit content with unlicensed commercial music, copyrighted broadcast footage, paywalled footage, pirated content, or footage captured in violation of event, league, school, venue, or platform rules. We may mute, remove, edit, reject, replace, or restrict any part of a Submission that we believe may involve third-party rights or rule violations.

Including a logo, school mark, sponsor sign, scoreboard, uniform, or venue mark in a Submission does not guarantee that you have the right to authorize commercial or promotional use. You remain responsible for obtaining required permissions.

9. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

  • Is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, libelous, invasive of privacy, or otherwise tortious;
  • Infringes or violates copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, publicity rights, privacy rights, contract rights, school rules, team rules, venue rules, or other rights;
  • Contains unlicensed music, unauthorized broadcast footage, pirated media, or content copied from another creator without permission;
  • Contains nudity, sexual content, sexualized depictions of minors, pornography, exploitation, grooming, or other sexually inappropriate material;
  • Promotes bullying, harassment, hate, discrimination, humiliation, intimidation, threats, stalking, doxxing, or abuse;
  • Promotes or depicts dangerous, reckless, illegal, violent, self-harm, weapon-related, drug-related, tobacco-related, vape-related, or alcohol-related conduct in an inappropriate way;
  • Shows graphic injuries, medical treatment, private distress, or emergency situations in a sensational or exploitative way;
  • Was recorded in a locker room, restroom, private residence, medical area, restricted sideline, team-only area, or other private or restricted location without all required permissions;
  • Contains personal information that should not be public, such as home addresses, phone numbers, private emails, student IDs, financial information, medical information, or precise personal location information;
  • Impersonates another person or organization, falsely suggests endorsement, or misrepresents your authority to submit the content;
  • Contains spam, malware, phishing, malicious code, automated content, or attempts to manipulate voting, rankings, contests, or platform integrity;
  • Is otherwise objectionable, unsafe, inappropriate for a high school sports audience, or inconsistent with State Champs’ brand, editorial standards, or community guidelines.

10. Review, Moderation, Editing, and Publication

State Champs may review, moderate, approve, reject, remove, edit, crop, trim, blur, mute, caption, subtitle, reformat, compress, transcode, add graphics to, combine, excerpt, archive, restore, or stop displaying any Submission at any time, for any reason or no reason, without notice.

We are not obligated to publish, display, promote, feature, retain, or return any Submission. Submission does not guarantee publication, selection, promotion, voting eligibility, award eligibility, inclusion in a broadcast, inclusion on social media, or any other treatment.

We may use human review, automated tools, third-party moderation services, user reports, rights-holder reports, school or team reports, and other methods to help evaluate Submissions. We may remove or restrict Submissions that we believe may create legal, safety, privacy, rights, reputational, operational, or brand risk.

11. Sponsors, Advertising, Broadcast, Social, and Commercial Uses

You understand and agree that State Champs may use Submissions in monetized, sponsored, advertising-supported, promotional, editorial, and commercial contexts. This may include displaying Submissions with sponsor logos, pre-roll ads, mid-roll ads, post-roll ads, branded segments, sponsored posts, paid social media, newsletters, broadcasts, livestreams, websites, mobile apps, highlight packages, award coverage, sales materials, and other State Champs content or business activities.

State Champs may generate revenue, sponsorship value, advertising value, promotional value, audience growth, goodwill, data insights, or other benefits from using Submissions. You are not entitled to compensation, royalties, residuals, revenue share, usage fees, approval rights, accounting, or other payment unless a separate signed written agreement says otherwise.

12. No Compensation, No Obligation, and No Confidentiality

Submissions are voluntary and are provided without expectation of payment. Unless we enter into a separate signed written agreement, we do not owe you any compensation, credit, reimbursement, prize, promotion, employment, contractor relationship, agency relationship, partnership, revenue share, or other benefit for submitting content or for our use or non-use of a Submission.

We may credit you, your school, your team, your social handle, a creator, or another source, but we are not required to do so. We may remove or change credits at any time.

Do not submit confidential, proprietary, embargoed, or private information through Fan Vision or other public submission channels. Submissions are not confidential, and State Champs has no obligation to treat Submissions as confidential unless we have a separate signed written agreement requiring confidentiality.

13. Privacy and Public Content

Our collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By providing a Submission, you consent to our collection and use of information associated with the Submission as described in the Privacy Policy and these Submission Terms.

Approved, featured, or published Submissions may become public. Public content may be viewed, saved, copied, downloaded, shared, reposted, embedded, indexed by search engines, or used by third parties outside our control. We cannot guarantee that public content can be completely removed from the internet after publication.

Please do not include personal information in your Submission that you do not want made public, including private contact information, home addresses, private schedules, medical information, student ID information, financial information, or sensitive personal details.

15. Your Representations and Warranties

Each time you provide a Submission, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have read, understand, and agree to these Submission Terms;
  • You are eligible to submit the Submission and have authority to grant the rights described in these Submission Terms;
  • You own the Submission or have all rights, licenses, permissions, releases, and consents needed to submit it and authorize State Champs to use it as described here;
  • The Submission and State Champs’ use of it will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate any copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy right, publicity right, contract right, school policy, athletic association rule, event rule, venue rule, or other right or obligation;
  • All people who appear in, are heard in, or are identified by the Submission have given all required permissions for the uses described in these Submission Terms;
  • For minors who appear prominently or materially in the Submission, you have obtained any required parent or legal guardian permission;
  • The Submission does not contain prohibited content described in these Submission Terms;
  • The Submission does not contain viruses, malware, spyware, malicious code, or other harmful components;
  • The information you provide with the Submission is accurate and not misleading;
  • You will comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and obligations related to the Submission.

16. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless State Champs, Yellow Flag Productions, LLC, their affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, owners, officers, directors, managers, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, licensors, service providers, sponsors, advertisers, partners, distributors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, settlements, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to:

  • Your Submission;
  • Your breach or alleged breach of these Submission Terms;
  • Your violation or alleged violation of any law, rule, regulation, policy, or third-party right;
  • Claims that your Submission or our use of it infringes, misappropriates, or violates any copyright, trademark, privacy right, publicity right, contract right, or other right;
  • Claims involving minors, student-athletes, schools, teams, events, leagues, associations, venues, music, logos, broadcast footage, or other third-party materials included in or connected to your Submission;
  • Your fraud, intentional misconduct, negligence, or unauthorized submission of content.

If you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian is responsible for your Submission and for any indemnification obligations to the fullest extent permitted by law.

17. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services, submission tools, moderation processes, and content features are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. State Champs does not guarantee that any Submission will be received, stored, reviewed, selected, published, displayed, preserved, removed, returned, monetized, or available without interruption or error.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, State Champs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Services and Submissions, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and quiet enjoyment.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, State Champs and the Released Parties will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, emotional distress, or unauthorized third-party copying, sharing, downloading, reposting, or misuse of a Submission, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, State Champs’ total aggregate liability arising out of or related to a Submission or these Submission Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to State Champs to submit the applicable Submission or one hundred dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

18. Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the Released Parties from claims, demands, liabilities, and causes of action arising out of or related to the use, non-use, publication, non-publication, editing, removal, distribution, display, performance, advertising, promotion, monetization, or other exploitation of your Submission as permitted by these Submission Terms. This release includes claims based on privacy, publicity, defamation, false light, attribution, approval rights, moral rights, emotional distress, and similar theories, except to the extent such claims cannot be waived under applicable law.

19. Termination, Account Actions, and Survival

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your ability to submit content, access features, vote, comment, or use the Services if we believe you have violated these Submission Terms, our Terms of Use, our Community Guidelines, the law, third-party rights, or the rights or safety of others.

The rights you grant to State Champs in Submissions already provided will survive account deletion, removal requests, termination, suspension, deactivation, and discontinuation of the Services, subject to applicable law and any written agreement signed by State Champs.

Sections concerning rights grants, ownership, publicity consent, third-party materials, no compensation, privacy and public content, reports and copyright notices, representations and warranties, indemnification, disclaimers, limitation of liability, release, governing law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive will survive any termination or expiration of these Submission Terms.

20. Governing Law

Unless another written agreement or applicable law provides otherwise, these Submission Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or a Submission will be governed by the laws of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Subject to any dispute-resolution terms in our Terms of Use or any signed written agreement, the state and federal courts located in Michigan will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over disputes arising out of or related to these Submission Terms or any Submission, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Remove or revise this venue sentence if your Terms of Use uses arbitration, small-claims procedures, or a different venue.

21. Changes to These Submission Terms

We may update these Submission Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will post the updated version with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services or submission of content after an update means you accept the updated Submission Terms.

Submissions made before an update remain subject to the version in effect when submitted, unless the updated terms are accepted by you, apply by law, or are reasonably necessary to operate, protect, or enforce the Services and do not materially reduce your rights.
